Frequently asked questions for the Before and After app by Accelerator 365

Jump to

General

What is Before and After?

The Before and After web part from Accelerator 365 lets you place two images side by side so people can easily spot the difference. Just add your "before" and "after" images, and the web part gives you a simple slider that visitors can drag to compare the two.

Does it support mobile / touch / keyboard input?

Yes! The slider supports mouse, touch, and keyboard interactions for accessibility across all devices.

Configuration

How do I set it up?

Setting it up is really straightforward. Just grab the app from the SharePoint Store, add the Before and After web part to your page, and pick your two images. You can choose how it looks, hit publish, and you’re done. There’s no coding involved and you don’t need to be a developer - it’s all handled through the normal SharePoint page editor. The whole thing only takes a few minutes and feels just like adding any other web part.

Editing

What image formats are supported?

Before and After supports standard web image formats, including JPEG and PNG. This means you can select images directly from your SharePoint libraries, site assets, or upload new ones. For best results, use optimized images with similar dimensions.

What image layouts are available?

You can display images either side by side (horizontal) or stacked (vertical), depending on your preference and what makes the most sense for your content.

Can I add a label to an image?

Yes! You can add a label of up to 48 characters for each image. The web part also allows you to include a caption for the entire comparison section.

Licensing & Trial

Is there a free trial available?

Yes - you can try it out! We offer a full, no-limits 60-day trial so you can see how it fits into your site. Learn more here.

What happens when the trial ends?

After the 60-day trial ends, the web part will simply stop working until you add a license. If you want to keep using it, we’ll walk you through how to buy and activate one. And if you’d rather remove it instead, we can guide you through that too. Either way, the rest of your page and site will stay just as it is.
