What is Tabs?

Tabs is a SharePoint web part that allows content authors to organize content into tabbed sections, where each tab contains its own text, images, or media. Users can easily switch between tabs to view different content without leaving the page.

Where can I use it?

The web part is available for modern SharePoint Online pages and can also be used within Viva Connections, allowing it to appear directly inside Microsoft Teams.

Is it responsive / mobile-friendly?

Yes. Tabs automatically adapt to different screen sizes. On smaller devices, the tab layout may change to a stacked or dropdown style to ensure accessibility and readability.


Configuration

How do I set it up?

The setup process follows the same simple logic as other Accelerator 365 apps.
Add the Tabs web part to your SharePoint page and from there you can create and configure your tabs directly from the web part settings panel or using the WYSIWYG editor.


Editing

What kind of content can I include in Tabs?

You can add formatted text, images, videos, lists, or any content supported by the SharePoint text and media editor.

Can I have multiple Tabs web parts on the same page?

Yes. Tabs is reusable and can be added to multiple sections or pages across your site.

Can I reorder, rename, add, or delete tabs?

Yes. Content authors can easily rename tabs, change their order, add new ones, or remove existing ones directly from the editing interface.

Is there a limit to the number of tabs?

There’s no strict limit, but for the best user experience, it’s recommended to keep the number of tabs manageable.

Can I choose which tab is open by default?

Yes. You can specify which tab is active when the page first loads.

Can I apply custom styling or themes?

Yes. Tabs supports theme-based styling and brand fonts. You can adjust colors for active and inactive tabs and align the design with your site’s branding.

Will content inside tabs appear in SharePoint search?

Yes. Content within Tabs is part of the page content and is indexed by SharePoint search, even if it’s not visible until the tab is opened.

Is there a free trial available?

Yes. A fully functional 60-day trial is available. Learn more here.

What happens when the trial ends?

After the 60-day trial expires, the web part will stop functioning until a valid license is applied. You’ll receive instructions on how to purchase and activate a license.
