What is My Contacts?

My Contacts lets users quickly find and connect with colleagues. It displays top contacts, team members, and allows searching across your organization, making it ideal for intranet homepages.

Can I view My Contacts on a mobile device?

Yes. My Contacts is fully responsive and works across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The app automatically adapts to the available screen size to ensure a smooth browsing experience.


Editing

Can I add My Contacts to more than one page or site?

Yes, you can use My Contacts on as many pages as you like. Just add the web part wherever you need it - there’s no limit on how many times you can use it.

What does the Top view do and how is its data determined?

The Top view shows your most relevant contacts based on Microsoft 365 communication and collaboration patterns (learn more).

What does the My team view do and how is its data determined?

The My team view shows your manager and peers using the organizational hierarchy in Microsoft Entra ID (learn more). It provides a quick way to view your immediate team.

How does the Search view work?

The Search view allows users to find people across the organization. Results are ranked based on relevance to the user. Users see a “Best match” and can view more results.


Appearance

Which views can I display in My Contacts?

You can enable or disable Top, My team, and Search views. At least one view must be enabled for the app to function.

Can I change card sizes and the number of contacts displayed?

Yes, you can select Small, Medium, or Large cards, and set how many contacts appear (1–20). Larger cards show more profile details, while smaller cards keep the display compact.

How do I choose which attributes appear on the cards?

In the property pane, open Configure cards. For each card size, you can select a subtitle and additional attributes to display, and reorder them to highlight the most relevant information.


Search & filtering

Can I control which users appear in search results?

Yes, you can apply filters in the property pane to limit results based on Microsoft Entra ID attributes. Filters can use And/Or logic, specific profile attributes and conditions. Custom queries can be used in the advanced editor.

Can I customize placeholder messages for search or empty results?

Yes, you can manage placeholder text for the search box, no results, and team members messages to guide users when no users are found.


Licensing & trial

Is there a free trial available?

Yes - you can try it out! We offer a full, no-limits 60-day trial so you can see how it fits into your site. Learn more here.

What happens when the trial ends?

After the 60-day trial ends, the web part will simply stop working until you add a license. If you want to keep using it, we’ll walk you through how to buy and activate one. And if you’d rather remove it instead, we can guide you through that too. Either way, the rest of your page and site will stay just as it is.
