What is People Directory?
People Directory provides a central location for users to find and connect with colleagues across your organization. It displays profile information and allows quick actions like email, call, or chat.
What is the data source for People Directory?
People Directory uses Microsoft Entra ID as its source for profile data and attributes. This ensures your directory is always up to date with accurate organizational information.
Can I view People Directory on a mobile device?
Yes. People Directory is fully responsive and works across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The app automatically adapts to the available screen size to ensure a smooth browsing experience.
Editing
Can I add People Directory to more than one page or site?
Yes, you can use People Directory on as many pages as you like. Just add the web part wherever you need it - there’s no limit on how many times you can use it.
Appearance
What layout options are available?
You can choose between Card view, List view, or both. Card view allows different sizes (small, medium, large), while List view shows columns for selected attributes.
Can I control which attributes appear?
Yes. You can select which Entra ID attributes appear on cards or columns, reorder them, and choose the most relevant information to display to users.
Can I rename attributes to be business-friendly?
Yes. Attributes displayed on columns and quick filters can have their names edited so they make sense to your organization and users.
What actions can I configure?
You can enable or disable actions like Mail, Call, and Chat. You can also reorder actions to prioritize the most commonly used options for your team.
Can I customize message and placeholder values?
Yes. You can set the text displayed in the search box, and the message shown when no results match the search or filters. This ensures clear communication to users.
Search & filters
How can I refine which people appear in the directory?
Editors can use pre-filtered options or additional filters in the property pane to include or exclude users. You can filter out disabled accounts, guest users, or apply custom rules using attributes from Microsoft Entra ID.
How does search work in People Directory?
Users can search by name or other attributes, making it easy to locate colleagues quickly from within the web part.
What are quick filters and how do they work?
Quick filters allow users to filter results using key attributes such as department, location, or role. You can configure which attributes are available and in what order, helping users narrow results efficiently.

Is there a free trial available?

What happens when the trial ends?
After the 60-day trial ends, the web part will simply stop working until you add a license. If you want to keep using it, we’ll walk you through how to buy and activate one. And if you’d rather remove it instead, we can guide you through that too. Either way, the rest of your page and site will stay just as it is.
