Release notes for the Welcome app by Accelerator 365

These release notes provide information relating to updates and new features for the Welcome app.

UI updates: Resolved issues relating to the display of Welcome content on smaller screen devices, including mobile devices.
Profile image: Updates to the error handling of the profile image. The profile image is also now a decorative image per accessibility guidance.

Time zones: Squished a style bug for the time zones drop-down in the classic Teams application when using Microsoft Viva Connections.
Background image: Squished a bug related to rendering background images on the Welcome web part.
Layouts: Squished a bug related to displaying the Welcome layout on SharePoint sites with an apostrophe in the site name.
Operational improvements: Various updates to the error handling utilised by the Welcome web part.

Core update: This release updates the core Microsoft library from SPFx 1.14 to 1.18.
Product information: Added links to the Accelerator 365 knowledge base and app version information into the web part properties.
Stability and performance improvements: Numerous updates and improvements to the core functionality to improve the performance and reliability of the Welcome app.
Layouts: Squished a bug related to correctly displaying the Welcome layout in the classic Teams application when using Microsoft Viva Connections.
Personalised content: Squished a bug related to the schedule for updating personalised content, such as the greeting message and local weather, on Welcome after an overnight period.
UI updates: Various UI updates to align with the new style guidelines from SharePoint.
Language support for French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish.

Time zone fix: Resolved an issue with the time zone feature not respecting the change from daylight savings time.

Scheduling improvements: This feature includes updates to the scheduling mechanism of slides and minor UI updates.

Bug fixes: Resolved issues relating to the display of the web part in the SharePoint mobile app, and the display of the location name.

Accessibility improvements: This feature enhances the accessibility of the Welcome web part, particularly with keyboard navigation.
UI updates: Minor updates to the display of slides across all layouts.
Language support for Italian

Licensing screens: This update addresses minor labelling and styling updates to the licensing screens and dialogs.
Bug fixes: Resolved issues relating the scheduling of slides and the ability to edit the display order of slides.

Site sharing fix: Squished a bug related to a conflict with the Microsoft site sharing functionality.

Product branding: Updates to labels and product titles to reflect the refreshed Accelerator 365 branding.
Responsive design: Squished a bug relating to the display on small screens.

Audience targeting: Squished a bug for displaying slides with audience targeting.

Image picker dependency: This feature introduces a replacement for the image picker functionality to improve stability / remove a dependency on a control Microsoft are prone to update.
Licensing screens: Integration with an updated licensing engine to support a smoother trial sign-up experience.
Weather API key: Introduced an easier mechanism to edit the necessary OpenWeather API key for the web part.
Required graph permissions message: Resolved an issue regarding the display of an error message if the necessary Microsoft Graph API permissions have not been approved.

Initial release: The initial release of the Welcome app into the SharePoint Store.

Release notes from versions of the app prior to publication in the SharePoint Store are not listed.
