How to configure and use the Poll app by Accelerator 365
The Poll app allows you to create interactive polls on your SharePoint page. This guide will take you through setting up the app, creating a data source, and building your first poll.

Configuring the app for the first time
To add the Image Map app:

Select Edit on your SharePoint page.

Select + Add a new web part, then choose the Poll app.

Once added, the Poll app will display as a placeholder and is ready for you to create your first poll.
Create a data source
The Poll app uses background SharePoint lists to store all poll information, including questions, answers, and votes. You won’t need to interact with this list, but it is essential for the app to function.

In the property pane, select your site and then the Create data source button.
Note:
- Only users in the Site Owners group can create a data source.
- You can only create one data source per site.
Create a new poll
- Click the Create new poll button in the property pane.
- Start by giving your poll a Title – this will help you identify it easily.
- Add the question you want to ask. Keep it clear and concise so users can respond quickly.
- Add the possible answers. You can easily add new options, rename or rearrange them, and remove any you don’t need.
- Use the toggles at the bottom of the property pane to customize how your poll works: You can:
- Allow multiple votes – let users choose more than one answer.
- Allow to see results before vote – give users a preview of results if desired.
- Allow to change vote – let users update their vote if they change their mind.
- Click Save. Your poll is now live on the page.
Tip: You can display and edit a different poll by selecting it from the “Select existing poll” drop-down in the property pane.
