Configuring the time widget
How to enable and customize the time and date display in the Welcome app
The Welcome app includes a configurable time widget that displays the current time and date. This feature supports a range of customizations, including format preferences, timezone selection, and optional day-of-week display.

How to enable the time widget

Edit the page and select the Welcome web part.

In the web part property pane, locate the Time section.

Toggle the Enable time widget option to turn it on.

The current time will now display in the Welcome layout.
Time and date display settings
You can customize how time and date appear using the available settings:

Time format
Choose between:-
12-hour (e.g. 3:45 PM)

24-hour (e.g. 15:45)

Date format
Select from common regional formats, such as:- MMM DD, YYYY
- MM/DD/YYYY
- DD/MM/YYYY
- YYYY/MM/DD

Day of the week
Optionally display the current day (e.g. Monday) alongside the time/date.
These options allow you to match the widget’s appearance to your organization’s regional or stylistic preferences.
Timezone configuration
The widget offers flexible timezone handling:

Automatic (user-based)
Detects the user's browser timezone and displays the corresponding time. -
Manual (selected timezone)
Set a specific timezone based on the searched location - you can also Change location display name and enter any desired name.
Manual timezones are helpful for global organizations wishing to reflect a headquarters or target region’s time regardless of user location.
