Frequently asked questions for the Noticeboard app by Accelerator 365
1. Can I turn on approvals for Noticeboard posts?
Yes, you can enable content approvals for posts in Noticeboard. This ensures that new posts require approval before they are visible to readers.
To turn on approvals:

Edit the Noticeboard web part.

In the property pane, go to the Source section and select View Posts List. This opens the back-end SharePoint list that stores all Noticeboard posts.

In the SharePoint list, click the Settings cog (top-right of the SharePoint banner).

Choose List settings.

Under General Settings, select Versioning settings.

At the top of the page, find the Content Approval setting - 'Require content approval for submitted items'.

Set this to Yes, then click OK.
What happens next:

Noticeboard will now display a new Approvals category.

When a user submits a post, it goes into Pending approval.
-
Site Visitors (readers) and Members will not see pending posts.

A Site Owner can approve or reject posts by opening them and selecting Approve or Reject.
2. Who can approve Noticeboard posts?
Only Site Owners of the SharePoint site can approve or reject Noticeboard posts.
Site Members and Site Visitors (readers) do not have approval rights.
